You cannot rewrite history! Ask the Communists.

But it is not because the statement is wrong? It was what I thought. The antifa are mostly very young people who do not know how really was... you knew, good for you.

Edit: so you know that under Comunism you can not have any other kind of political way of thinking

Communism is the devil in hell. So often people say this nonsense.

First there never was communism. Second communism is (at core) not a governmental form, so does not suppress your political views.
Third even if, your statement would not be true.

Communism is - if you are okay to take Marx' definition - when the means to production are democratized and the people morally so advanced that they put the general good above their own (e.g. you have two houses and decide to give one to a homeless because, after all, you can only live in one anyway).

Tar Trek: TNG is communism.

Mao or Stalin are not, even if they called themselves so. They barely managed the first step of socialism.
All the "communistic" states were no more communistic then the "democratic republics" of the diverse dictators are democracies.

Here we go again??? :D
Do you know how Cuba was??? We always "put the general good above our own" as you well say. I am talking about my experience in Cuba, and it was Communism so yes, here I go again. (the we were the normal people not the goverment of course)

Following your concept of Communis you say that it is not a governmental form, well maybe yes but is a goverment can have a communist character, as the cuban one has. And you can not go against to "put the general good above your own" beacuse then you are "anti-communist". This is in Cuba how it was and how it is now. Why it works is another discussion but it works.

What Stalin and Mao did I just know for books, I was not there and as far as I know it is very different what you read or see in the news and what reality is, in the case of Stalin and Mao what you read in the history books depends a lot from where you are and what political system is in your country... I am pretty sure what you could read in the DDR was compete different that what you could read in the GDR at the time of the 2 Germanies about Mao and Stalin or I am wrong?

In Cuba they called communist in the history books.

Edit: my english is not so good, sorry about that, hope you can understand well my ideas

Here we go again??? :D

You don't know how often (including here on steemit) I read something like commnism has killed hundred of million of people.

Which is wrong even if you take Mao and Stalin as communists.
But they also mean "communistic" things universal healthcare etc.

Anyway: Communism does not kill. Dictatorship does not kill. The people with the power - whatever they call themselves - kill. Saying Communism kills is also taking away the responsibility of people towards an idea.
Christianity does not kill. Christians did kill millions. Communism does not kill, people who declared (or though) themselves as communists killed. And so on.

Hmm... let's take this.

And you can not go against to "put the general good above your own" beacuse then you are "anti-communist".

In a dictatorship like Cuba this is right.
In communism (as the ideal per Marx) you would be free to have anti-communist views but you would be too good a human to have them.

Definitely you like Carl Marx and all the ideology he sold to the people...

Anyway....

Communism does not kill. Dictatorship does not kill. The people with the power - whatever they call themselves - kill

The guns are not who kill the people, are the people who use the guns and so on... this is how do you defend this "utopic" ideology?

I know what do you mean but you are taking very soft the weight of the ideology who this persons who kill o send to kill have or is putting in practice (even if you say thta was not.. and that is your opinion, do not need to be true) Ideologies is what move people to commit actions that can be good or not good...

In communism (as the ideal per Marx) you would be free to have anti-communist views but you would be too good a human to have them.

I would love to see in what part od the books from Carl Marx were he talks about "Marxism" or Communism, called as you like the best he say this that the persons are so good that they will not have another kind of way of thinking...

Edit : Communist is dictatorial in his deepest roots, it is the only way to putt it in practice...

Definitely you like Carl Marx and all the ideology he sold to the people...

Marx was an outstanding analyst. His findings mostly hold true until today - and from how many social/economic scientist can you say that more then 100 years after they have died?

I don't like his works called as ideology (even if they might have ended up as such) because Marx' himself was very strict on the point that he is working on a "scientific socialism" in comparism to the utopias others created (Star Trek ;) ).

He stressed the point that the class free society would allow everyone to be free in his self progress and that this free progress of the individual is the basis of the free progress of all.

Sorry if that is hard to understand, but Marx is a stone to read even in German.

My father was graduated from "Marxist and Leninist Ideology and History", that was the exact name of his career in the university of Habana so I kind of know a bit about Marx and friends... and when I came out of Cuba I could even research a bit more and more freely.

is findings mostly hold true until today

What findings? Can you name one?

I don't like his works called as ideology (even if they might have ended up as such) because Marx' himself was very strict on the point that he is working on a "scientific socialism" in comparism to the utopias others created

Why it was not an utopy what he created also? And just because he called "socialism scientific" it is not an ideology? :D The word science in the name it does not make it automatically true or Carl Marx a scientist as far as I know ;)

He stressed the point that the class free society would allow everyone to be free in his self progress and that this free progress of the individual is the basis of the free progress of all.

If this is not an utopy I do not know what utopy means... This could be only possible in "Erewhon" ;)

It is not hard to understand that you like the point of view of Carl Marx but that it does not make it practical or the "panacea" to the problems of the world.

What findings? Can you name one?

That capitalists will try to pay the lowest possible wage, ignoring if the worker starves?
That the accumulation of capital leeds to a small number of super riches and a broad class of poor workers?

And just because he called "socialism scientific" it is not an ideology? :D

The differnce is that the "utopists" just made their utopia, often ignoring the world.
Marx insisted on looking at the reality and - analyst, as I said - to make conclusions out of what was visible.

An ideology does not change (or not out of itself/from the leaders), while Marx did change some of his views over time because of new thoughts or data. As scientists should.
For example first he thought that there is no other way then revolution to get to communism. Later he thought there are other way (for countries that arent't already totally locked into capitalism).

If I change my point of view in something it does not make me automatically a scientist... and an Ideology can change, split or not be used any more as had happen in history many times...

Marx was giving you an ideal society... from an european point of view seeing just the reality he knew. You are telling me that he took in account how the live of people in Africa , Latinoamerica or Asia was? You can say that societies looks like a lot but what about cultural heritage, way of thinking, geography of the region (believe me, if you are born in an island you do not think the same in many aspects as if you are born in a continental country) and so on???

It is not hard to understand that you like the point of view of Carl Marx but that it does not make it practical or the "panacea" to the problems of the world.

And I never said that. I also do not think that all of his ideas about the future are right. Still the world changed according to his predictions mostly. We do have a world were money decides and not the will of the people.
That is even shown in a "fresh" study of the German scientific help to the parliament (Wissenschaftlicher Dienst) who showed that interests of people get more response from politics if the people have money.
And of course the original wording got watered down when that study was officially presented by politicians. (It was part of a big yearly work.)

Did you ever count the human factor in your ideas? Also Marx never did it, from my point of view, that is the reason why I called utopy his ideal society...

We do have a world were money decides and not the will of the people.

I think that you are wrong with this statement.... the desire of FEW PEOPLE with a lot of money decides in the world. Money is just a tool like the guns or ideologies for to put some examples... so the only reason why it does not work is because how humans are....

You should have a lot of social interactions in all levels to realize that... it is not something you know just for thinking about it

And you are comparing a religion with an ideology? Well, yes, you are very right doing this comparation because it is almost the same ...

Christianity does not kill. Christians did kill millions. Communism does not kill, people who declared (or though) themselves as communists killed.

Christians did not kill millions, people who declared themself as a christians you should say ;)

Pd: I never say communist kill millions of people I just say that under "practical"Communism (not the utopical you say Mrax has in his head) you would have the Antifa or any other political movemment in re-education or working force camps.... they would be not aloud because everything is CENTRALIZED!

"practical"Communism (not the utopical you say Mrax has in his head) you would have the Antifa or any other political movemment in re-education or working force camps....

That is most likely true. If they weren't organized in The Communistic Antifa ;)

But that, as the centralization, is the difference between theory and real life.

The Communistic Antifa

hehehehe ;) Everything will be "Communist" under "Communism", also the antifa

I am more agree with Ayn Rand if you want an example or something who have in count how humans are... and why I think Communism is an utopy. (even if I would add and rest some things of her way of thinking, she lived in another time with different reality but in general she had the feets over the earth)

too bad that a lot of Rands views were proven wrong already when she was getting fame ;)

Like Marx? ;)

But talking serious :) Did you saw this interview? I was almost 2 hours looking for it just to put an example of an ideology who think in how humans are and behaive

And Communism is not the "only" devil in hell... for me personally all the "ism" Capital, Social, Anarch, you named, are part of the same game....divide us as humans

Ideologies are to restrictives, I do not like them
