The freedom loving Hong Kong people are currently doing a protest against government oppression, but due to strict laws they have had to classify their protest as a religious gathering, giving them a legal basis to gather in large numbers and occupy the streets.
They are also behaving very calm and organized despite having no central leadership. A true lesson for western activists.
Luke Rudowski at WeAreChange, an alternative media channel I follow, is currently in Hong Kong doing a very good job at documenting the activism from the ground level.
If you are truly interested in the Hong Kong situation, like I am, I highly recommend following his channel on Youtube, and possibly also become a member at his site: https://wearechange.org/
