Looking at School Shootings as Storm the Castle War-Game and the Media's Role in Creating Victims

If school shootings are so prevalent then why are they still dealt with as if they were an unforeseen event?

We've had another incident in which multiple people have lost their lives and the aftermath looks largely the same as every school shooting. A shell shocked public being spoken for by a national media that incessantly beats the drum to the same rhythm of the gun control agenda. Then they claim that every man, woman, and child in the United States is clamoring for it as well. This situation is treated as though the only way to address it is to have Congress alter the constitution and in doing so stripping the right of self defense from the people and constitution that they are sworn to protect.

Let's examine this a little bit with some good old fashioned thinking. School shootings aren't an incredibly complex problem. This is really about as basic of a war game exercise as you can get (and as fanciful). This is "Storm the Castle". How is it that tactically we have failed to protect the castle every single time something like this happens before incurring large loss of life? Why do we watch while disinterested talking heads clamor on about the humanity of it all and how guns are so primitive and that as an evolved society we should be able to move on from the 2nd amendment- for the children of course. Meanwhile no practical steps are taken to keep the children safe. Why do people not demand action at the local level that go beyond bureaucratic? Why do they not demand actions that are also EMPOWERING to themselves instead of just the authorities?

If we are so surprised every time this happens with no safeguards in place then why don't we ask a general how we should protect our schools against an attack by a single armed individual.

Think about this. This is a situation where a single, solitary- armed individual (or even two) is walking into odds of up to 1000 to 1 sometimes more sometimes less. I wonder how a General of the Army would instruct us on the keys to neutralizing the threat with a minimum loss of life. I think a General could probably come up with a pretty good plan on a cocktail napkin and the pen from the check presenter. What is the best way to defend the castle with 500 to 1 odds? The answer to that question can't be difficult to answer for a General. A mono-siege can't be a very difficult one to defend against; if you are defending against it.

The problem apparently is that we are not defending against it. Our problem of defense seems to stem from our societally-instilled victim mentality. This is the same mentality that gets people stuck in the medical establishment's disease thinking, banking establishment's debt thinking, etc. You are someone that needs help. The best help is professional help. So wait for a professional to tell you what to do. You begin this exercise as a victim or potential victim. In the case of a school shooting the professionals are the police. But like in medicine, don't do anything until the professionals are there to help you. They want it to be very clear. You are a danger to yourself if you do anything. They tell you to "become a small target". Doesn't that sound like exactly the wrong advice to give if someone is storming your castle against 500 to 1 odds? Even 1000 to 1 odds or more? This is how you encourage mass murders. Train the people to act as vegetables waiting to be picked by the psychopath with the harvesting tool.

Instead of actual discussion about viable solutions to the problem you just get the same tired old tune out of the idiot box. Gotta get those guns because you know that your kids won't be safe unless they do. You know they won't even attempt to think of another way of protecting your kids until those guns are safely out of the hands of the law abiding public. Then they can have their way with them. This will be well beyond a tail wagging a dog this will be the flea shaking the dog.

That's how you know the whole thing is a ruse. They offer no solutions except banishment of the only thing that stands between utter domination of a people by their government. Are we really so dumbed down as to believe there to be no other way of addressing this problem at a very fundamental rubber meets road level? Isn't this all common sense stuff that shouldn't even have to be thought about? The media have built a cacophony of noise for so long that we've forgotten about the noise but they didn't and they tune it and us to their choice of programming and we receive it and repeat it.

W can change this; we simply have to turn the channel.

Let's start demanding true protection and training for both our kids and the staff at schools to deal with this problem head-on and stop turning our children and brothers and sisters into the soft targets of madmen.

We are the first responder in each of our lives and there is a deep seated personal responsibility that comes with that.
