In John Decamp's book, The Franklin Cover-Up, Hunter S. Thompson, who Depp portrays in the movie, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, allegedly directed a snuff film of tortured children at gun point.

Some speculate that Thompson's 'suicide' was to silence him as he was working on a report of 9/11.
