Ethnicity is still the main driver of elections in most African nations and Kenya is one of them

With just over a month to elections, there are many speculations on whether Kenyans shall vote based on their leaders manifestos or by simply referencing back into their political tribal cocoons? The answer to this question is very evident that even a blind person can figure out.
Kenya just like many other African nations have tried very much in the lat decade to embrace the spirit of nationality and democracy in the greatest efforts ever imagined. However much efforts have been made to combat the concept of ethnicity, the subject is still a very big player when it comes to political alignments and even the forthcoming elections shall very much be decided on the basis of ethnic loyalty.
As much as there are a lot that have been done to eradicate the tribal reasoning when it comes to elections and political matters, there is still so much to be done if the ethnic orientated mentalities were to be faced out in African nations.

Unfortunately as you can see from the attached link the same sensibilities occur everywhere. I wish people could be judged on their individual merits.
