Just today information was released through the media that the Dutch Government has been supporting terrorist organisations in Syria, that were fighting against Syrian president Assad.
In secrecy they were providing all kinds of rebel groups with materials, such as cars, clothing, laptops and many more things. The costs for this have been millions of euro's.
The goal was to support moderate rebels that were fighting ISIS and Assad, that were trying to find a political solution and democracy. But in reality, the Dutch representatives didnt really know much about the groups they were supporting. The journalists of Nieuwsuur and Trouw talked to 100 commanders from the various operating rebel groups in Syria, and some of them were very detailed about the help they received from the Netherlands, including materials and names of their Dutch contacts.
Now it is clear that groups have been supported that are jihadistic and this leads to several problems. First of all there is the problem of funding terrorism, and that with Dutch taxpayers money. But also there is a problem with Jihadists in the country. How are you going to prosecute Dutch persons that joined these terrorist groups, if you support these groups yourself as government.
A storm is here for the Dutch government and the current ministers. This might even cause this entire cabinet to implode.

Foreign aid from western countries is a huge failure. My country Sweden, has given foreign aid to a lot of stupid stuff as well. Palestine, that uses that money to send rockets into Israel.
Sweden gave Rwanda 400 million dollars, the state of Rwanda then gave 300 million dollars to Arsenal, because Arsenal is their president's favorite team...
The foreign aid programs need new reforms. Supporting terrorism is awful but I believe the whole foreign aid program needs to be looked over.

Yes the foreign aid is a disaster, I feel they should halt all outgoing funds right now and reevaluate whats exactly going on. A lot of tax payers money going to really terrible things.
