I found this video last night and highly recommend you give it 7 minutes of your life. What we have to realise is that evil people will commit evil deeds, removing the means for people to protect themselves in the hope it will stop criminals is asinine. Passing laws will only effect law abiding people, and that is the problem with criminals, they tend to not obey the laws. Again look at my country South Africa where it is virtually impossible to buy a gun, we are the second worst gun violence country in the world.

In Switzerland I understand that there are approximately 46 weapons per hundred inhabitants, and yet there are no such crimes and massacres. In fact, if you look at the graphs and the information available, there seems to be a very unique relationship between the unarmed countries and the high levels of crime and crime. I have to add that they are also more likely to be oppressed by their government authorities, those people who do not have what to defend themselves, politicians generally take voters more seriously when they have a gun at home. The possession of weapons in the hands of citizens is also vital to maintain national sovereignty and protect against foreign forces during wars and war conflicts, this is something that is taken into account, due to Guerrilla warfare among others . And finally, the right to bear arms, is an extension of the right to liberty of persons and private property, and in the alleged social contract, the only individual power to be ceded by an individual, is the right to apply justice in own account, but must never give up the ability to defend itself when the state can not do so, and less if the state is the danger.
