The People Who Voted For Trump

in politics •  8 years ago  (edited)

It is not that his supporters are "are all evil, ignorant rednecks" its that his polices are immoral (more torture of "terrorists" for example), anti-american (ban on Muslims or tightening libel laws) and anti-freedom (restricting trade, highly selective of press, stop and frisk).

He is not just a terrible person, he is a grave threat to the republic, IF he does what he said he would do. If he does not he could be a good president, but at the moment I can only assume he means to do what was said and that is a moral and constitutional disaster.

I agree that he is a horrible human being, a screaming howler monkey who will, no doubt, do a great deal of damage. But this article isn't about him, it's about the people who voted for him, where (at least some of them) are coming from, and the bigotry of the left against them.
