Trump nominated Brett Kavanaugh and this has several democrats fuming, which is probably a good thing. Kavanaugh is a considered to be a conservative and this will sway the SCOTUS to a more conservative opinion for future decisions. It somewhat negates the effect of Ginsburg, Kagan and Sotomayor. When Ginburg, exits this will really stir up the democrats.

The nomination has a good chance that it will be approved as Kavanaugh needs 51 votes and republicans hold 51 seats, albeit Mccain (RINO) is unlikely to vote as he battling brain cancer. If the vote comes to a tie, Pence can break the tie. This is based on the anticipation that the vote comes down to party lines.

Chuck Schumer

@SenSchumer
I will oppose Judge Kavanaugh’s nomination with everything I have, and I hope a bipartisan majority will do the same. The stakes are simply too high for anything less.

@NancyPelosi
The Supreme Court nominee @realDonaldTrump will announce tonight will have an impact on a woman’s right to choose for generations to come. He said overturning #RoeVsWade “will happen automatically” during his presidency. We can’t let that happen. #WhatsAtStake

As you can see from the above tweets, Kavanaugh should not expect to receive any democratic support.
