What’s the Common Denominator for Everyone Accused in the US Sex Abuse Scandals? They’re all Enemies of Trump.

In one way or another, every person accused in these sex scandals has been an enemy of Trump. Let that sink in.

From Hollywood scumbags like Harvey Weinstein and Bret Ratner to newly discovered scumbag Kevin Spacey. An actor who made it his business in executive producing House Of Cards to expose how oligarchs and the political establishment really game the play in DC. He made real enemies everywhere with that move.

And pedo scumbag Alabama Senate Candidate Roy Moore, who one might assume must be an ally of Trump because it seems the President refuses to distance himself from the creep. I mean, the R’s really want that Senate seat! Right? But no, Moore is really Trump’s enemy. It just so happens, he beat Luther Strange, Trump’s chosen successor to Jeff Sessions in the Alabama primary. He deserves paypack for that betrayal! And hey, maybe Jeff Sessions might do Trump a real solid and resign as Attorney General! In the process, he’d save his old Senate seat for the GOP. Then Trump could find an AG with the intestinal fortitute to fire Meuller and pull his own little Saturday Night Massacre ala Nixon. See the game?

And let’s not forget newly discovered scumbag Al Franken, he who’s straddled the line between leftist entertainer and centrist Democratic politician. Out of office he was a SNL comedian and sometimes funny author, who pushed the line with at least one female colleague on USO tour. In office, he’s been pestering conservatives with all sorts of difficult and pertinent questions for the last several years, making a mockery of their ‘outcome predetermined’ committee hearings. It should also be noted that Trump dirty trickster Roger Stone tweeted about Franken’s soon to be scandal before it hit the news, showing foreknowledge of the event. Nor should be be ignored that these accusers are all closely connected to the GOP and the conservative movement as well. Because that’s just how Trump’s surrogates roll.

The New York Times hasn’t been spared this treatment, as Fox News gleefully reports, Glenn Thrush has just been suspended over rather tepid allegations he propositioned a younger woman in a bar. Which apparantly never happens in New York. And Charie Rose, that peon of liberal PBS, hasn’t been spared the whip, he aparantly forgot to wear a towel in front of a female onlooker as he strolled out the shower. Perv!

There are other examples. But all of them share the same connection: Enemies of Trump. Whether being Hollywood liberals, or DC liberals, or Journalist ‘fake news liberals’. Whatever. Trump hates ’em.

In context, this is a direct continuation of that 4chan and Reddit conspiracy theory Pizzagate. Nuts made up stories about Clinton emails released by wikileaks, reading between the lines a pedo scandal at a pizza parlor that never was. Pizzagate riled up a nut with a gun who stormed the place but found nothing. Still, Trump crazies continue believing it. So these sex scandals conform to the Pizzagate narrative. Affirming for Trump’s base a belief and justification to Purge the Pervs.

It’ll be turtles caught humping turtles, all the way down.

It starts by targeting people who really deserve it. Like Harvey Weinstein. Or Roy Moore. And I’m all for charging criminal sexual offenses. Get it on. But then it moves to more overtly political targets with accusations that are tepid, un-proven, or simply red meat meant to rile up the base. With every resignation based on these bogus or overblown charges, it leaves a power vacuum Trump’s administration will fill with sycophants. Or, for those who survivle, now cowed by a threat they will be destroyed by a bogus sex scandal for conducting legitimate political opposition.

Stalin, Mao, Pinochet, and most recently Erdogan have all used sex scandals as part of larger political purges to consolidate power. Do not underestimate the threat this poses to basic freedom and democratic rule. This is the path to a real one party state and genuine dictatorship.

Be wary of the purge you wish for. Because the outcome may turn so ugly, the US Republic may never recover.
