If we had a functional, non-corrupted electoral system, decentralized, blockchain voting systems would still be vastly superior. This is due to the unprecedented transparency, cryptographic security, accessibility, and efficiency that this digital technology provides.
However, the overwhelming corruption and dysfunction that is blatantly present within our electoral systems makes the adoption of blockchain voting systems a necessity. We must not allow the overt democratic failure of our electoral systems go unaddressed. We must collaboratively create, then adopt and utilize, decentralized, public voting networks.
