... and not the kind of riot caused by a good set of puns.
My home state of Missouri just had a major court case that has had a lot of racially charged implications involved. A policeman shot and killed a black man, which typically means civil unrest will follow.
But what I want to point out is the headlines coming out of the verdict of not guilty. Whether or not you think the judge made the right decision, check out what CNN just put out.
If this isn't going to provoke rage and riots, what is? They put a close-up on the policeman's face with the worst picture possible, making him look trashy. Then they presented the issue in the most racially-charge way possible.
Obviously they could have presented this in a much more neutral manner like Fox2now and a few other good apples that you might see out there.
Can we make it a point to call out media when they do stuff like this? There will be riots in St. Louis tonight I guarantee. Property will be destroyed and there might even be some bodily harm. I think media that pours fuel on the fire is just despicable and we need to stop supporting them.
