Here in the UK, a General election has just been held with tough fought campaigns spreading from school funding to the highly anticipated Brexit and with this years election there has been massive increases in Youth voting and with this high spike in younger politics, the olden days of secretive vote casting has gone. Much like the rest of society social media has opened up people’s political opinions for criticism and support and has meant that more people are getting a voice. I put it to the people here on Steem, have you seen more open political debates with the rise of the internet society or is it just a fanciful vision I have created in my head? Do more people feel they can stand up and share their political views (and more) or is the ratio still just as low but more of the speakers are finding new platforms for voice.
