Let's skip the , evil pope scene and effort's politician's take for control , and comment on your 40-90 amp Parkside weld equipment .,,,, As a former pro welder i can only say , you bought for almost nothing , well , just nothing . Or a whole lot of headage . But as long as you use 0.6 wire and do not weld materials thicker then 2mm , grind all weld prior to the welding and take al lot of brakes to give the Parkside some air , you'll be fine , ... Flux core wire ? ... use a full face carbon filter welders helmet , even outside ! ... have fun man ;-)

I was looking at the more expensive models also, though want to be able to run all my garage/workshop items off solar, so have to stay within a certain wattage, hence this welder.
I am like you, I have only used industrial versions whilst at car factories, for the most part.

I was , among lot's of jobs , for some years a location welder in industry and construction sites .
I blew up some expensive welding machines due to a poor power network on some sites .
You need a battery bank with that solar system for a steady voltage . cheapest welding equipment i know of is a heavy duty traction battery from the scrap , for stick welding .
For hobby welding on a 1 phase power supply i would recommend a second hand 220volt inverter from a pro workshop . Stick to stick welding or go TIG .

I can not understand the guy in the video :-) I have inverters and regulators, though only a 1000 watt at the moment.
Batteries I have plenty of, and need to have 24 volt due to the panel.

The guy in the video dos not tell it all , it's what i see , first he is outside because Germany and most European country's forbid flux core welding inside a workplace . The welds look awful even for a guy that knows what he's doing . He only proved that it can weld , he wasn't happy about the result's as a welder , it just a cheap machine for crappy welds . For a 100 or less i would stick to this kind of machine , just keep the amps around 110 to avoid blowing fuses and stuff .
