It is Critical that we apply continual pressure to our Representatives so the are 100% sure what WE want them to do! This is one area where the liberals beat us out. WE are busy making a living, while they steer us off of the cliff! I have them on speed dial! >:(

sir smithlabs..that is very true, they are usually more organized and their base is more active, you really call your congressman?

I sure do. When they are doing something stupid, they hear from me. They are not terrified of my voice...YET, LOL! :)

hey sir smithlabs, do you ever get to talk to them personally or just get their staff or office people?

I have shaken their hands, and spoken to them directly. Their staff is a buffer, and they do run interference, but I get past them if it is important.

I am working on an appointment right now for a meeting with one, on smart meters, I want to opt out, permanently! >:(

sir smithlabs..yeah what's the status of those up there? are they going in everywhere because they claim to save money for people?

The office staff? They are helpful, and I use them for one way communications where I want them to vote or not vote on bills. For two way communications, I tell them I need to speak directly to the politician. :)

The politicians know they produce nothing, the best they can do is to limit the bleeding, spending wise.

sir smithlabs! so if you ask to talk to the politician they just always honor that request?

If they are smart! Remember, the squeeky wheel gets the grease!

I also do not ASK, and I call until they tire of me, it IS politics, so the BS is always there. But they are pretty good here these days. I do also let them know what I want to talk about.

:)
