Why do we need the Right to keep and bear firearms in Our Constitution?

in politics •  4 years ago

Even after months of open violence in our major cities by organized gangs of rioters, I had a Lady ask me WHY private gun ownership should 'be allowed'! Since she was really asking, and interested in the response, I decided to spend a little of my time, and answer her here.
She was actually scared of the AR 15 firearm, expecting it to attack her in some fashion. so I will go there first The AR 15 is the favorite boogieman of the MSM and the liberals, because they Know that IF THEY can get ONE firearm outlawed; they can simply call every other firearm 'equivalent' and take them all! The AR 15 in .223 is not powerful enough for my tastes, but it is effective.
Here is a good video on the AR 15 platform:

The AR 15 is a good platform to buy, just to piss off liberals, which is their best use!

The most important concept in her question was the term 'be allowed'! It is most important that this term is totally in error. The RIGHT to bear arms is Not under control of the government, this RIGHT to defend oneself; is granted by GOD to all Mankind! This ability to defend oneself, is beyond the authority level of the government; and they are warned not to infringe on this RIGHT!

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

The portion of the Bill of Rights that says:

the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.
This simply limits Our government, by Constitutional Restraints; from regulations written centuries ago, from interfering with our GOD Given RIGHTS!

The founding Fathers Knew then, as it still is today; that the single largest threat to our freedom, is our government itself! They wrote our Founding documents specifically to hamper the inevitable government intrusions they were sure were coming! They carefully limited government power, to protect our Freedoms in this Republic; at the expense of the government's ability, to achieve totalitarian power.

Here is an article on what our Founding Fathers thought about the Second Amendment:

James Madison said:

[T]he advantage of being armed [is an advantage which] the Americans possess over the people of almost every other nation. . . . [I]n the several kingdoms of Europe . . . the governments are afraid to trust the people with arms. James Madison, U.S. President, Signer of the Constitution, a Framer of the Second Amendment in the first congress

Samual Adams said:

The said Constitution [should] be never construed . . . to prevent the people of the United States, who are peaceable citizens, from keeping their own arms. Samuel Adams, Signer of the Declaration, “Father of the American Revolution”

Richard Henry Lee, who helped write the Second Amendment, described it in this fashion:

To preserve liberty, it is essential that the whole body of the people always possess arms, and be taught alike, especially when young, how to use them. Richard Henry Lee, Signer of the Declaration, A Framer of the Second Amendment in the First Congress

James Wilson who signed the Constitution, said:

Significantly, the Second Amendment did not grant or bestow any right on the people; instead, it simply recognized and provided what Constitution signer James Wilson called “a new security” for the right of self-defense that God had already bestowed on every individual.

They intended that all citizens be armed, at the same level that the military itself. They intended that the government would fear the Citizens; today's liberals want US to fear our employees (the government). They can only be successful if they disarm all of us!

Today's liberals are following the National Socialists plan used in the 1930's in Germany, which requires that the targets (US) be disarmed and helpless.... If you are curious, look up the brown shirts, and compare them to blm and antifa, the latter is a clone of the former. The only thing stopping them from total Fascist control over the USA, is the Second Amendment. So a document that is 245 years old is the only thing between us and a new dark age fuelled by liberal totalitarian power

The average Citizen understands this, and this, and they have responded by buying firearms in Record numbers!
