According to our law makers(senators) thongs encroached the house and move away with the mace which is the symbol of authority in the house

One question to our so called senators. Respect my lords, and my leaders, My question is Was there no security around when this thongs men came?
Does it mean that we the masses our own security aren't even granted?
Because is very bad if our senators cant tell us the truth...

            staff of office, especially that which lies on the table in the House of Commons when the Speaker is in the chair, regarded as a symbol of the authority of the House.

                    Police is our security guard when they thongs do away with the mace so if they can't secure our Symbol of authority how much more will they secure humans
                    My brother in Nigeria police do secure the generator with key and lock it to a pillar I wonder what happens when you went to report that you property is missing
