PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT
We, by this massage, conderm the cruel murder of Engr. Monday James Umo of Ntoedek village in Etim Ekpo LGA of Akwa Ibom State.
Engr. Umo was reportedly murdered by suspected criminals at about 10pm on Saturday, 28th June, 2016 around Cuban Area of Abuja, Nigeria.
Until his death, Monday was a businessman based in Italy.
We assure the family, friends and the entire Akwa Ibom people that the Diaspora desk of Akwa Ibom State is working closely with high powered security operatives to unravel the shameless elements behind the attack.
We wish to restate that the lives of Akwaibomites, home and in the Diaspora is of the greatest value to us.
Criminals elements are hereby advised to desist from attacks on the good people of Akwa Ibom State at home and in the diaspora.
Engr. Monday James Umo is survived by a wife and and two children
May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace.
