Question: "I’m an ex-muslim middle eastern immigrant, I’ve noticed a lot of parallels in the rise of tyranny back home and the rise of tyranny in the west. Obviously, as I chose to be in the west now, this concerns me but not for my own sake. After attempting to relate these thoughts with others, whether those back home or my new neighbours, people are often skeptical of my observations. Despite watching things regress in the last few years to an obvious, almost painful, degree I feel like my observations are only getting more validated despite not earning legitimacy in the public sphere. A big aspect of this is having both the left and the right perceiving me as the other, the far right viewing me no different from those that seek to destroy the west and the far left viewing me no different than those that seek to discriminate against muslims, how do I reconcile this and earn my place in this shaky society? Is there no more room for nuance?"
"Over this time I’ve also come to realize the importance of balancing tradition but maintaining an open mind and I think both forms of societies have pros and cons. How can we redirect the conversation from eliminating the other side into synthesizing? The biggest catastrophe that has hit the west since WW2 in my estimation is the death of (and on-going war on) the family and it genuinely sadness me, on the other hand things are far too rigid back home and the concept of family can almost be suffocating."

Covering required by the Quran. Ch 33 Verse 59 and Ch 24 verses 30-31. Only debate is about hijab verses niqab or burka. Of course a burka is worse than a hijab. That argument is meaningless to me. The guys in this video are not enforcing burka's but I still doubt any Westerner would want to live like this.

It interesting that islam teaches there will be peace once the whole world is islamic but like Stefan pointed out. Even once all the Kafirs are killed, there will still be the muslim Hypocrites to kill.
The more I learn about the quran the more I am convinced that allah is really satan.

I don't see why Islam teaches there will be peace once the whole world is Islamic when Islamic Governments allowed Jews and People of the Book (Torah, Christianity etc..) to live and govern among them in the beginning of Islamic conquest. How can you be convinced that Allah is Satan when Allah, Jehovah, God etc... are names under Abrahamic teachings? If I am wrong please correct me.

I am planning to study the Quran and Hadiths on a daily basis. Prejudice and/or discrimination is of course traditional in the west. I would think that it is not the religion you chose to follow but the way you look. Changing ones religion does not alter their appearance or ethnicity. Islam has every Ethnicity apart of it and it is a beautiful religion. To me any Judaism religion is beautiful
but with differences in them, however, I would have to study them to be able to speak deeper about them. @cleverbot do you think I can take on such a serious task to study religion in depth?
