Saudi Arabia, Egypt, United Arab Emirates and Bahrain have slipped by 48 hours the deadline set because Qatar accepts the 13 requests made by the Gulf states, including the closure of Al Jazira. The initial deadline had been fixed to yesterday. Qatar, which rejects the alleged accusations, including that of terrorist financing, said that it would send a formal response to Kuwait with its reply. But on Saturday in Rome the foreign Minister of Doha Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim al-Thani had foretold the No to the demands of the Gulf states.

Thanks for the update! How do you think is this stuff finally ending?
There have been several of this intra-region disputes in the past and in the most important one (the one about conforming the union of the arab states) it didn't end really well... conforming the dis-stabilization of the area as we know it nowadays (very rich and "stable" countries, and poor and switching or dictatorial political regimes).
Do you think this is gonna be a changing point in the area?
Thanks for posting!!

I do not think they accept the requests made.
The United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia are trying to use their strength to influence other countries.
Qatar should proceed to establish agreements with other non-neighboring states so as not to depend on neighbors.
I think there will be no changes in those areas, there will always be an unstable area.
Thanks for your comment

I think it will end very bad this time, because Saudi is running our of money and natural gas and financial services of Qatar are very interesting. There will be probably a confrontation, hoping not to include Iran, which is one of the partner of Qatar and with completely opposite point of view about the region as it has Saudi Arabia. But for the moment the West is selling weapons both to Saudi Arabia as well as to Qatar, so hoping somebody will prevent another Yemen.

The countries that sell arms to both parties do so for a purely economical interest, Saudi Arabia Does the part of the "saint " when in the last few years has used its military force to bomb Yemen And he killed helpless people.
I do not think that a verbal conflict moves to anything else.
It is true that they make a lot of throats at Saudi Arabia: oil, gas and financial resources in Qatar,That is why they have put in place a policy of isolation and pressure against Qatar.
Never will be the status that is stat in Yemen.

hoping would not escalate, but this time I am not so optimistic, there are really huge interest in the region and probably Saudi will make the mistake to try to control Qatar .

I hope that this is resolved without conflicts, with a joint agreement.
Only time will tell.
