Politicians all too often have no clue what they are talking about

This in itself is nothing new. While there are obviously very competent and educated people among politicians, their knowledge by necessity is limited - while they are required to decide upon things they hardly ever heard about. This is logical and common knowledge, but hardly ever demonstrated in such a devastating way as it is in this small conversation out of Australia:
