Just make sure you don't use bid-bots for promotion. Use a bot that guarantees you a profit like minnowbooster, lays, steemlike etc. When you you have about 100SP you can even sell you votes on smartsteem and minnowbooster. Just make sure you limit it to only vote when your voting power is high (personally I recommend mid 90s)

You simply transfer SBD from your account to the bot account and on the memo you copy/paste the link to your article.
For upvotes, stick with bots that guarantee profits. For resteems, they just resteem your article mostly within 24 hours.
