You seem to have a great point and I sure agree that "Democracy is a sugar-coated knife". Democracy is true to be a hoax.
Democracy can be used for many things, such as corruption.
Of course, this happens nowadays with the United States system and maybe it's not as visible to us but it goes on behind the scenes. Many people don't seem to notice.
Here is where I see Democracy in a positive way.
It can be seen as a bridge where "the people" hold the two ends of it while the "government and powerful" are on it.
Ultimately we have the ability to let go of the bridge.

thanks for sharing your thoughts. You have an optimistic point of view towards democracy. It’s empowering to think that we common people have power to let go of the bridge on which the politicians are standing. Unfortunately, it’s not that easy, because the system of corrupt politics is powerful enough to sustains itself.
