Universal Stench of Politics

Elections for Croatian parliament will be held for second time in less than a year, because previous Government could not keep parliamentary majority for long... That Government had a prime minister (s)elected after mere 3 hours of negotiations between two political Frankenstein parties that formed a loose coalition, needed to form the Government. 

Interesting thing about that prime minister was that he speaks Croatian much worse than I speak English. Although he is a Croat, he came from Canada, where he held well payed management position in notorious TEVA, and got Croatian citizenship in a record time - because without it - he could not place his arse on the throne. 

That Government was a collosal failure. Not that previous Governments were any better... 

So campaining is now well under way, and election day will be September 11th. 

Two leaders of two strongest political parties had a TV debate yesterday. They are both eager to sit on the throne of a prime minister. One for the second time, other for the first time. 

That was the first debate after 13 years between leaders of Red and Blue team. 

 

Many people watched them because that kind of event, held after 13 long years is rather exclusive, and may (at least) be worth a good laugh. Today's reports say that over 30% of people in front of TV watched their brilliant performance. 

I watched it too.  

I heard this: 

deluded fella #1: My shit is great. 

deluded fella #2: It is interesting you claim that, because I can guarantee my shit tastes much better than yours. 

deluded fella #1: You do not speak the truth to the voters. My shit is beyond anything your shit can offer, and it will be proven to you when votes are counted. 

deluded fella #2: You failed to prove your shit is better when you were prime minister. On the other hand, my shit has not only great taste, but fantastic looks as well. 

deluded fella #1: When I was prime minister, my government produced so much of great shit that voters decided we will not get a second term. They do not understand why our shit is so great, thus, I must explain that your shit is worse. 

deluded fella #2: My shit was always consistent, unlike yours.

... and so on. 

After a while, I got scared that I might suffer from internal bleeding caused by their shit, so I turned the TV off. 

So - what is the good news? 

Good news is that more and more people see their shit and they are leaving it to the voters. 

They still seem to like the taste of it.   

After all - who will build the roads if we would not have Government? 

That's a tough one for a voter. They ask me that question A LOT!
