Learn from the Bible: Oppressing the poor to enrich oneself, and giving to the rich—both lead only to poverty

The book of Proverbs teaches us some rules about taking care of money, that is, rules that we have to have if we do not want to fall into poverty, wisdom and good advice are necessary for everything: "Oppressing the poor to enrich oneself, and giving to the rich—both lead only to poverty" Proverbs 22:16.
Those who give excessive gifts to more powerful people are not depending on their own intelligence or effort, but on what a more powerful person decides according to their own convenience. And he who oppresses to steal, as many ancient kings have done, makes enemies excessively which is a lack of prudence, and he will not be able to resort to the help of the oppressed when he finds himself in need.
The Bible in practical terms explains to us that in the extremes of behavior, the one who is excessively generous on the one hand and the one who takes excessive profits without giving anything in return on the other, lies the path to the economic ruin of man. When it comes to money and riches neither the prodigal nor the petty prosper, the correct thing then would be in an intermediate behavior.
In the Bible there was an office related to this proverb, the tax collector, in the gospels these people were called publicans, the bible gives us these people as an example of what greed and the exploitation of the humble is, the tax collectors were people much feared and despised by the people.
The Bible constantly teaches us that you cannot prosper in environments based on fear, favoritism, and injustice. Prosperity when it is well-founded requires trust between people, joint and teamwork, and clear rules of coexistence that are complied with. The accumulation of wealth, and this is empirically proven, is born from the work ethic. The Bible has a saying about this: "Dishonest money dwindles away, but whoever gathers money little by little makes it grow" Proverbs 13:11.
