Statista has compiled a ranking of the most visited sites in the world as of February 2019, based on data from SimilarWeb research.
The Pornhub entered the top ten, bypassing Instagram, which is usually used via mobile apps, at the tenth place is the Yandex site. Also ampproject.org got into the rating, on which pages of different sites are located, working in the “lightweight” AMP format.
So people use the internet to entertain themselves and connect with others. Not too surprising. It's too bad the information sites weren't higher on the list.
