We spotted a big old porcupine on The side of the road yesterday afternoon.

Went on our way to take care of what we had to do. Then came back to find that porcupine was still there.

For those of you who don't know, the porcupine have fur that covers their quills. Coming out from there, are these long hairs that I've harvested from this beautiful porcupine.

I e spared you all the photo of a dead porcupine since, well... It's not very respectful. But wanted to pass on a bit of knowledge to you.

Anytime an animal gives its life, or passes on we need to be sure to show respect for it. The gifts that they carry, and lessons they have to teach us are meant to be respected.

Always be sure you say your thanks say some prayers for the spirit of that animal. And I send up my appreciation for the opportunity to be bringing the animal along with me o the way. To give me strength, and wisdom to be able to make my own head roach.

Smudge it down, and the area you work in. Make more prayers. And always be keeping a positive mind when you do any of your crafting.

If you get to a place in your life where you are not able to enjoy what you are doing, it's a signal. You should be looking at why you are doing what you do. Re evaluate your decision. Try and make sure you are not out to hurt anybody. Or even yourself.

Where you do things out of anger or spite, or just trying to be someone who you are not. People know. You should know too. You should not make yourself or others suffer for some blind benefit. Or trying g to fit a part.

In the case of this porcupine. It's a real blessing to come into my life at this time. I do not have a head roach. And I do not like the thought of having to spend $500 or more to purchase one. Plus I wouldn't know much about where it came from or who has been doing g what with it. So, I make my own things.

I e been planning to go get my hunter safety course in order to go out and ask the porcupine to give itself to me. But I didn't even need to do that. Here was a porcupine e sitting there waiting for me on the road.

Such a blessing.

Now today I have spent the last eight hours removing the hairs so that I can begin to learn the next step for making what I plan to make.

Most times, I am told; one headroach requires many porcupines. So I'm hoping that this will be enough, because it's so big. But it's definitely a step in the right direction.

And what an honour it is to be living this life.
