promptings, January

I feel promptings and in turn, moments like millions of pictures unfold in front of me. I am scared to shoot some, as it involves closeness and detachment, but really, my soul seeks balance. More often so, the photos happen remarkably, yet only upon review. In the moment, I bear witness to one truth. I was just taking photos.

I haven’t risen for sunrise, but I have sent and received film. Lot’s of it; to a point, the bottleneck lies in the ability of selection, a personal curation – of what I have seen, I should share. The principle of making a photograph here is the same. I feel that as the photos require people, a shyness to them is unnecessary. I need simply communicate how well I make pictures. As with portraits, promptings with people are seldom incorrect.

The task of organization has blessed my thoughts with complete bounty. As there is method to the madness, only my enthusiasm be curbed. It is often difficult to allow organization the comfort of pace kept.
