DBJP # 65 - No Such Thing As Relax at 10 Months Old

in portraitphotography •  5 years ago

All day long chasing little James around. Find him in precarious situations when I turn my back for just a moment.. but he has the strength and brains to get himself into those situations.

10 Months of life on Earth thus far for James and this boy has taken both @kelsnm’s and my heart. A very happy baby boy.

However, I have said it a few times already before, life with James always has me on the edge of my seat. But I can confirm, he understands the phrase or word “No”. And when to turn back or stop what he is doing.

I hope he will always listen well.

Performing a balancing act on top a weight..

Only really began to “master” walking this past week, but he has been up standing for months. But now he has no fear of climbing up things either like a total crazy baby.

Trying to cook without mommy home can be a challenge. Buttttt his little face is so cute, he earns his spot in my left arm as I continue to make our ritual scrambled eggs and a banana on the side.

Then it’s a day full of chasing James around the house as he will sporadically change moods and desire to climb the stairs and head to his room upstairs... to then eventually want to climb back down the stairs to play downstairs.

Of course I must follow to make sure he doesn’t tumble down, as just today I caught him in a tumble!

It’s these moments where he is distracted safely, where I can find the time to get the weekly chores finished. And that’s all I need.

This boy is a blessing unto my life, I am ever grateful for him. And I know mommy feels the same. We love our James.

I pray to Heavenly Father. Take care y’all!

10 months already. How time flies. Tell me, what do you think has been your biggest challenge so far and why?

To be concise, mornings. I work late, but he’s been sleeping for hours so come 7 am when he wants to get up.... it can be tough. Lately however, I have adapted well and mornings end with a nice nap into the afternoon ha!

But the months we he was much smaller.. they are all blended.. how quickly they went. I’m amazed and so happy he is up on his feet and walking. His poops have changed and are very nasty on occasion. Ya know, depending on what he eats, and finding the right, safe food was interesting but not difficult with such an awesome mom.

I truly feel as though there haven’t been many “challenges”... besides this recent Croup infection and he had another high fever a month or so back but all seems well, ALL because I have a great mom in this family team.

I only imagine life would be multiple times more difficult without an extra dedicated pair of hands such as @kelsnm or myself.

Strong Family and the love shown to our boy, which he can clearly transmit it back to us in his voice and actions.. he kisses mommy now.. not daddy lol I feel that those two reasons lead to a happy boy which makes it all go smoother.

So concise lol

Thanks for your concise response bro! Lol.

It sounds like the sleep issue is a common theme among parents so I don't think you're unique there. From what you say you've had a pretty good run with only a few hiccups here and there so you're lucky.

From what I can tell you're both doing a great job with him and also keeping the unit solid all the way through. It's good to see and really, your journey has only started...Plenty of time to add more awesome into the mix.

Well done mate, keep up the good work.
