Kerry asked if I was interested in completing a photoshoot with her. Always wanting practice - I of course said yes. This was a very sunny day, and my lesns felt like having a day of mis-focusing ever so slightly, as I was shooting with the sun directly behind Kerry, utilising a bit of fill-light to ensure she wasn't entirely silhouetted.
I'm pretty happy with what I got - the location was excellent, idead in the middle of the city, with traffic traffic buzzing all around. It is amazing what you can do with some creative camera angles and some awesome bokeh.
Shots were mainly down with the Tamron 70-200 F/2.8 USD G2, on a Nikon D750.

I'm too dumb to see the misfocus, did you fix it?
Seems like you're in a quiet idyllic park so good jon with framing.
That top photo is frameworthy. Maybe even canvasworthy.

I didn't include those pics in this post, but there were plenty where I missed the focal point!
Several of the autofocus points are not "cross type" so where there is low contrast (ie a backlit subject) the camera focuses slightly In front or behind your intended focal point.
I'm sadly far too ... intelsely a details person for anyone to care about these technological maladies (limitations, really) ... but I like to know how everything works and functions in order to get the most out of it (models not withstanding!)

RE: focal points - are you using the back screen to zoom in to find focus? Used that a lot when I couldn't work out if I had focus from a distant subject.

Never. Only the viewfinder. It has an indicator.
"> o < "
">" means your focus point is in front of your subject.
"o" means you're locked.
"<" means your focus point is behind your subject.
The non cross type AF sensors (near the edge of the AF groups) aren't as good as the central ones. This causes a phenomena known as "front focusing" or "back focusing" - where the focus is only just out, but makes a massive difference in the image.
