Positive Thinking: Polyanna Syndrome

in positive •  4 years ago

Why do we have such a disadvantage over Pollyanna? After all, she's just a little girl with a big dose of positive mental attitude. Instead of making fun of us, may we learn something from her. I'm not saying we have to transform into Pollyanna, but when you think about it, positive thinking is the only sane way to go. Our thinking creates our reality, so isn't it just a little silly to create our reality based on negative thinking? When we realize this, we understand that we cannot afford the luxury of negative thinking.

As Einstein said, "we are locked in the boundary conditions of our thought." Managing the mind is essentially the key to managing life, and we all have the power to choose what we think. It may take time and effort to break the habit of negative thinking, but that's exactly what it is, a habit. So the trick is to cultivate a new habit of looking for the positive. And the first step is to surprise yourself when you think negatively. It may shock you how many of those 60,000 thoughts that pass through your mind every day are negative in nature. Maybe when you catch yourself thinking negatively, you can turn it into a positive “but”. Either way, look for a way to reverse it when you see an advantage. Focus on making your outside world mirror your inside world, so what do you think instead? Create the habit of thinking positively.

Daily affirmations are a good tool for this. These are words repeated daily to manifest a more positive reality. This is one way to harness the power of words to your advantage because your reality begins with a thought. Help the spirit on a more positive path. Just remember that the rule with affirmations is that they should be personal, present and positive, for example "today I achieve everything I want effortlessly" rather than "today I will have no problem. ". You can start with something simple like "I choose happiness" or "I create my own reality". You can write them down, say them, sing them, it's up to you, but at least six times a day is fine.

As the saying goes, whether you tell yourself that you can or cannot do something, you are right. So what have you got to lose by thinking positively?
