Positivity Amidst the Pandemic

The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic is drastically changing the lives of people, young and old. Malls, departments stores, cinemas, training centers, schools and universities have closed, face-to-face classes, exams and events postponed, the availment of healthcare services are limited. In other parts of the world, example, in some parts of the Philippines, big family gatherings are discouraged and sometimes prohibited. Holding of wakes for family members, going to the cockpit arenas, social centers and the like are prohibited. In times, like this living life to the fullest can be tough. This situation does have a great toll in our lives and specially our mental health. Listed hereunder are some of the activities and sites that could make our lives productive and positive amidst the pandemic:

Improve your daily routine. Start the day with making up your bed, pray or meditate, and open your windows to allow the morning fresh air to come in. Do some stretches and exercise. Bored with the daily stretching and exercises? Try zumba and belly dancing. With regards to the stretches and exercise, please don’t stress yourself out on this activity and avoid straining your muscles. Please do keep in mind that visiting a medical professional is very risky and hard. Then, you can then proceed to taking a shower and getting dressed as if going out, and doing your facial morning routine. In these trying times, you need to learn how to take care of your body better. Try to eat more healthy, delicious and nutritious meals with lots and lots of vegetables and fruit. To kick start the day, do online calls and video calls. Check your loved ones, family or friends. Inspire others as they too have their own struggles and battles to take.

Throughout the day, try to have healthy option snacks that can boost your system. Reduce if not avoid caffeine intake for you don’t want to increase your anxiety level.

Clean your workspace and prepare the things that can make you focus your work.
