Today I found another way to access the SteemBlockChain.
Not Steemit.
To be clear, Steemit is a website (and a company) but it is NOT the blockchain. Steemit is used to read/write to the SteemBlockChain (and other functions. I've been using Steemit since Aug of 2016. At that time it WAS the only one.
Now there are a great many, more every day.
Today I found SteemPeak.
I'm taking it for a test flight...this is the second post that I've made with it.
One thing that I've been wanting in a SteemEditor for a LONG time is WSIWIG. Several of the other Steemit replacements that I've test drove have tried it. So has SteamPeak.
So far it seems to be working out for me.
I think my problem is that I've been using Steemit for almost two years now. I don't like a lot of features that it has or the way it works but I'm USED to it. After all I've made over thirty five thousand post with it...I'm used to it.
BUT...it's limiting.
Time for something else.
So Far I like SteamPeak better than the other alternatives to Steemit that I have tried. At least I'm still using it unlike the other ones.
Well see how it turns out.

It more attractive for new users, that's for sure...
I've been skipping around it on the other account.
Like you said, familiarity of steemit....but it's is a bad habit.
Only time on another site will rid you of that habit. ...it looks promising though, that's for sure..
I do prefer the lists on steemit, rather than the larger blog icons, so far...
Oh, and they don't have the 'stretchy box' option when you are writing posts, I don't think.. - I like the stretchy box. lol

I like the 'stretchy box too' but I sure get tired of stretching. The only reason for it is not having 'side by side'.
I think I can get used to the 'side by side'
There are a couple of other 'front ends' that have many of the same features as SteemPeak
Busy and one or two others come to mind.
For some reason I could never warm up to them.

Awesome glad you found it.
And then you head straight to the editor which we're still evaluating if we want to go get a better one so we actually haven't done a ton of work on because if we get a new editor... well i still think it's pretty good just a few features I would add to it when we make the decision to stay or upgrade. But that being said just let us know if there's anything about the editor you'd want different or any features you'd like to see an editor do.
Eventually we want a front end that a beginner would feel completely comfortable in.

one SMALL thing that I noticed.
on the 'feed page' the 'popular topics' (on the left) and the ' saved' stuff (on the right)
shouldn't scroll with middle.....it'd save some bouncy-bouncy in the middle.
and...the 'popular topics' list (tags) would be nice to see from the editor ...it'd make it easier to chose which tag..
oh...and perhaps when the tag has NOT been selected and yet stupid old me tries to post andy way and it won't let me...it could tell me what the heck I'm doing wrong? Maybe blinkie blinkie
or something? ya need to set a tag!
