So far I've been posting every day. I really, really don't want to break with that, because I made a promise to myself that I'd do it.
When you make a promise to yourself, there's always going to be some reason later why you think it's okay to break that promise. But if you do this, what good is your promise to yourself worth?
I've come to a crossroads in my article writing here on Steemit. The current article that I'm working on is gargantuan, and I'm quite proud of it. I refuse to rush it or break it into parts. I want to deliver all of the value at for people to peruse as they see fit at their leisure. I want to take the time to do due diligence, to lovingly comb over every section and word, and to make sure that I do all that I can to make it as close to perspective or life-changing as I can currently manage.
The grind here on Steemit can be rough, just the same as anywhere in life. But this article is giving me a deep level of satisfaction. I just can't wait for ya'll to take a gander at them thar' words. In fact, I'm seriously considering switching over from a post every day schedule to a large post once or twice a month schedule.
But I made a promise to myself.
Thus the dilemma.
I've decided to continue the post every day schedule until year's end, deciding then what the appropriate measure is. Until then, I'm simply going to work on this large post until it's finished, pouring the greater majority of my efforts into it.
I want to go deeper, to learn things and create things and genuinely be capable of giving and building more. But this takes time, focus. So the change in posting schedule is actually not much of a change at all on the surface.
Underneath the calm waves, however, flow powerful currents of change.
The large post is coming, folks. But it's sort of going to take as long as it takes.

Can’t wait to read your upcoming big post and I think it’s wise for you to spend the time to get it right instead of rushing it. I have also experimented with the whole daily post vs. less frequent/bigger posts and I think there are pros and cons to both. I wish you luck as you play around with different options to find what works best for you.
Although there is value in keeping promises to yourself, there is also value in being willing to change and adapt as needed. 😊

Wise words, madame. I definitely know the pros and cons to posting everyday (or, at one time, multiple times a day), but we'll see what the other side looks like.
Striking that balance between flexibility and consistency is definitely one of life's challenges.
Thanks for the words of encouragement :D.

Bruh. Vote for vote doesn't work around these parts. This would be why your rep is 12. Please amend your ways.
