MY STEEM STORY

Power House Creatives _night mode.png

Everyone has a story – and all our stories have something in common… we all started from nothing and knew nothing. People want to hear stories. They want to hear OUR stories — they want to know who we are, where we are from, what we are doing, who and what we love, what we have learnt and where we are going. People also want us to hear their stories!Being a part of the Steem network is an individual journey for every singleone of us and through this initiative, we will share our stories not only with all who are already here – hopefully inspiring, guiding and informing them… but doing the same for everyone else in the world too. Through our stories, we will prick the curiosity of those who have not yet arrived and illuminate and widen the already open doors to our one in a million blockchain.

We invite and encourage each and every one of you to participate and share your stories too! You can find the "how to" details at the end of this post.

MY STEEM STORY - by @mllg

Where my Steem Journey began

@steemd says about my age (in Steemit): 32 moons.
And I am certainly going for three years in these seas. It is a lot of time and a lot of experience gained. @mllg is not the same tiny fish that opened its eyes in these waters.

How did I discover Steemit? This discovery was a chain, a friend of my son's girlfriend (@brendahcaroline) found the platform, encouraged him to enter and motivated me so that I could realize my great dream of life, publish about NLP and also stories and poems, @miguelarl helped me to register and a week later I made my first publication. A simple riddle. It was in September 2017.

My first impression was: This platform is great but too complicated for me.

My initial challenges & how I overcame them

Each publication was a personal challenge and a broad learning exercise. I needed help all the time. My son (@miguelarl) became my private instructor. I must confess that on the Internet I had only used Facebook and emails. Even using the computer was difficult for me. Therefore, my start on Steemit was not only the start on the platform but also my active entry into social networks.

With Steemit a new stage was born in my life. I was able to write, read and fraternize with other people with equal interest in writing and enjoy the pleasure of others reading my writings. I learned to handle the markdown quite well, even there are codes that I handle from memory, but there is still much that I still have to learn. New friends helped me with specific solutions to specific difficulties.

At first, I didn't enter the discord, I don't know why but it scared me. I started by entering the discord of @Cervantes and listening to the recommendations that were made there and discovered that you could leave the links of the posts to promote them there and on other servers.

The competitions allowed me to meet many users, thus I gained visibility and friendships and joining promotional activities such as The reading week of @salvao and the Reto12Votos, created by @pavelnunez and continued by @avellana. And I continue with them.

Another difficulty was the small voting power and the low capacity (Rc) to publish and comment. It was a kind of vicious circle, which greatly limited the ascent. I joined @autovoters, @talentclub and later @emeeseese, taking advantage of the opportunities they offered for small fishes.
Always in a mode little by little, but this one received an unexpected increase. @crypto.piotr, in a generous action made delegations to some active members with low SP, I should thank him for the first delegation that I obtained, after it, a delegation from @devann and another from @mariusfebruary coming. Altruistic people who help others for nothing and who I really appreciate being able to publish and vote more. Thanks, @crypto.piotr, @mariusfebruary and @devann. At that time there were also competitions such as @electrode and @blackhorse with which a user could win SP delegations for a month. I win one too.

For reasons that are not relevant, I was semi-absent from the platform from June to January 2019, this greatly affected my progress because I missed changes and left a lot to know.

My Steem blockchain knowledge

Oh! oh! my poor knowledge about blockchain. Its literal meaning is easy. That it is a place to navigate, I understood it easily, because I saw the metaphorical association of geographical ocean
with the web and the navigator of seas and oceans with the navigator that flows from one page to another, from one program to another. On top of that, very little.

Something I had heard of cryptocurrencies in general. I was confused that they talked about the token and that in Steemit there were three different payment criteria, STEEM, SBD, and SP. And when there was an explosion of cryptocurrencies, I felt lost in that sea of values that users started talking about as if they were playing "the bag", but virtually. So I started to gather cryptocurrencies of different names, but I honestly did not dominate that area. And now with Tron, maybe new crypto will be the protagonist.

My Steem favourites

With the goal of growing and valuing the support obtained, I created @marlui (my second account) to help others. Its objective is to vote, make resteem and activities that benefit the community. As @mllg, I conducted several competitions. I have a very special memory of the Drama Contest, from the hand of @leveuf. Anyway, in good Venezuelan: I worked hard and even.

I'm a blogger. What I like is to write poems, stories, dissertations, reflections. I also love photography and I see myself in the very near future about NLP vlogging. In addition to Steemit, I have also posted on weku and wordpress. But my biggest production is in Steemit.

I love the issues of personal growth, trying to make readers happy and everything that has to do with the care of our Mother Earth.

My golden nugget advice

The first advice is not to be alone, read and comment with sincerity, vote as far as your VP allows and publish about something you like and what you can talk about enthusiastically. In other words, produce original content and share them.

Use the discord to know the communities that make life there and join those with whom you have empathy. Visit them, talk to other users. This way you will find out about many things that happen around you and can help in your development within the platform.

My Steem hood & its peeps

My home in Steemit is @ Club12, which is hosted at #RadioSteemit. It is a relatively small but very cohesive community. In it there is mutual support and the desire to grow as a team, I am also in contact with the @ R2cornel community, with @thealliance since they surprised me with a very beautiful tag #spreadlovenotwarl, with the beloved team of @Berto & @Emeseese, with @topfamilyfive, with the #CCC team, which caught me with a wide range of competitions, @latino.romano and its Spanish freewrites and lately with #powerhousecreative that promotes various competitions in some of which I have participated, such as this one, for example; and began like refish in #SteemTerminal.

More blessings, kisses and hugs for you, dear María Luisa!!

Hello @mllg. So nice to meet you. I loved your Steem Story. Your story is similar to other new accounts. It can be a scary place here on Steem at first. I'm still learning everyday, especially about the market and trading aspects.

I like what you are doing with your second account to help other steemians by voting, resteeming. So glad to have you at Steem Terminal.

Will you be participating in SPUD XI? You are a great candidate for it.

Take care.
