Hi Dtube and Steemit!
I recently competed in a powerlifting competition hosted by my club (UMD Barbell) and the University of Maryland, College Park. It is a USAPL, USA Powerlifting, Regional qualifier powerlifting meet where I competed at the 83kg weight class. This translates to 182.6 pounds and I had been training for this meet for approximately 14 weeks.
I was coached by my good friend and teammate Jay Etherton who helped me with both the training and nutrition aspects of the program.
I weighed in at 80.2 kg and ended up placing 3rd in my weight class!
I ended up hitting new Personal Records, PR's of:
Back Squat: 167.5kg/368.5lbs
Benchpress: 137kg, 286lbs
Deadlift: 225kg, 496lbs
I can't wait for what's in store for my future of weightlifting/powerlifting/bodybuilding and I hope that I can inspire you to follow your dreams and goals, whatever they may be.
Remember, all it takes is one step in the right direction. Taking that first step is the hardest part, but all you have to do is begin.
