This is truly powerful stuff, and when you stop and let what he says sink in, you begin to realize how our thoughts and feelings, really do control our reality, our experiences, and our relationships. I totally respect Dr. Joe Dispenza, his own personal story is a testimony to what he has spent his life sharing with others.
In 1986, he was in a horrific bicycle accident where he completely damaged his spine and vertebrae. While in the hospital he was told by his doctors that if he didn't have surgery, he would never walk again. After 6-1/2 weeks of pure hell, he realized his thoughts were always focused on what he didn't want to happen instead of what he did want to happen. When he changed his thoughts, he spent several hours a day focusing on rebuilding his vertebrae and spine. He would spend 3-4 hours every day envisioning it being completely rebuilt and healthy. After 6 or so weeks of doing that, everything started to click. His body began to heal itself and after 10-1/2 weeks he was back on his feet, and in 12 weeks he was training again. Of course, his doctors were completely amazed!
When we start to become aware of our thoughts and habits, we begin to objectify our subjective mind. We are becoming aware of the habits, beliefs, attitudes, emotions, and perceptions that are running our life.
This is the program. To break this program, we have to become aware of it. When you are consistently restraining those new routines of mind and body then "nerve cells that no longer fire together, no longer wire together."
Awareness of the old self is the key. As you prune away the neurological hardware of the old self, you also no longer signal the same genes in the same way. You are breaking the habit of being you.
Once you have become familiar with the old self to the extent that no thought, behavior, and no feeling will cause you to fall unconsciously into previous patterns, you might agree that it would be a good idea to begin to become familiar with the new self. Who do you want to be? How do you want to feel? (credit: Joe Dispenza)
Today, Dr. Joe Dispenza is teaching the world how to empower and heal our mind through meditation and mindfulness. His studies have proven that when well practiced these tools can put us on the path to understanding and breaking deep-rooted bad habits and even heal illnesses. The author of Becoming Supernatural explains how to stop your mind from controlling you on this episode of Impact Theory with Tom Bilyeu.

“The best way to predict your future is to create it, not from the known but from the unknown. What thoughts do you want to fire and wire in your brain? What behaviors do you want to demonstrate in one day? The active rehearsing, then mentally closing your eyes and rehearsing the action." [13:15]
“The moment you start feeling abundant and worthy, you are generating wealth. The moment you're empowered and feel it, you're beginning to step towards your success. The moment you start feeling whole, your healing begins and when you love yourself and you love all of life, you will create an equal and now you're causing an effect.” [14:57]
“Knowledge is power, but knowledge about yourself is self-empowerment.” [24:10]
