#Weeklyfoodcontest : Tasty White Sauce Pasta - How to make it at home

Hello steemians, how are you all during the Corona Pandemic.

During Corona, I tried lot of recipes at home and I like to make new new dishes and today I have made White Sauce Pasta.

There are several types of pasta like as Macaroni, Farfalle, Orecchiette, Rigatoni, Spaghetti, Fusilli etc and i used Fusilli Pasta.

So let's start to make White Sauce Pasta. And I want to share with you the Recipe Of the Pasta.

Step -1

(For Boiling The Pasta)

Ingredients

  1. Fusilli Pasta/ Any type of Pasta - 250 gm

  2. Salt - 1tbsp

  3. Water - As Use

               Step 1
    

Boil the Water with 1 tbsp salt in a pan/pot.

              Step 2

When the water comes to a boil, add 250 gm fusilli pasta.

Cook the pasta on a medium to high flame.

             Step 4

After it take a plate and remove the water from the pasta and put the pasta in the plate and keep it aside.

Step - 2

(Fried the Vegetables)

Ingredients

  1. Onions

  2. Capsicum

  3. Garlic
    ( And more vegetables as you can like carrot, beans, etc)

                Step 1
    

Chopped all the vegetables.

                Step 2

Then take a Kadaai and put the oil/ghee in it. I use ghee.

             Step 3

Add the chopped garlic into it.

                Step 4

When the colour of garlic change then add the chopped onion.

             Step 5

Add the chopped capsicum.

             Step 6

Within 5 minutes all the vegetables will fry.

And this fired vegetables keep aside.

Step - 3

(For Making White Sauce)

  1. Flour(Maida) - 4 tbsp
  2. Butter - 4 tbsp
  3. Milk - 250ml
  4. Black Pepper - 1 tsp
  5. Oregano - 1 tbsp
  6. Chilli Flakes - 1 tbsp
  7. Cheese Cubes - 3 pieces

               Step 1

Take a Kadaai/Pan and keep the flame to a low and add 4 tablespoons butter. You can use salted or unsalted butter.

               Step 2 

When the butter melts and starts to bubble, then add 2 tablespoon flour or 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour.

               Step 3 

Using a wired whisk, stir the flour quickly as soon as you add it. Keep on stirring so that no lumps are formed. The frequent stirring helps the flour to cook evenly.

You will see the flour frothing and bubbling up while stirring. Saute it until you get a nice cooked aroma and the flour is a pale golden color. Don’t brown the flour.

                Step 4

Keep the flame on low and then pour 1 cup chilled milk in a gentle stream with one hand and stir the sauce mixture with the other. The milk has to be chilled, so that lumps do not form.

Stir frequently while the milk heats up.

              Step 5

On a low flame, simmer the sauce until it thickens. When the sauce has thickened well and coats the back of a spoon.

               Step 6

Add the seasonings(oregano) 1 tbsp , 1 tsp black pepper powder, 1 tbsp chilli flakes .

For making it cheesy we add the pieces of Cheese.

White Sauce is Ready.

Step - 4

(Preparation of White Sauce Pasta)

              Step 1

Add the fried vegetables in White Sauce.

And mixed it well.

            Step 2

Then add pasta to the white sauce.

White Sauce Pasta is Ready

Serve white sauce pasta garnished with oregano and chilli flakes . You can also garnish with some grated cheese.
