At the same time when Joze Plecnik was building the Church of the Most Sacred Heart of Our Lord, and a few blocks away, another great architect, Josef Gocar (1880-1945), has won the competition, with over 50 entries btw, to build the Church of Saint Weceslas (1930). It was made in Constructivist design. The church is dominated by the 50-meter tower with a seven meter cross on its top.
This picture was taken from the entrance to the building (Vrsovice) that i lived in from 2010 to 2015.
