"A good coach can change a game, a great coach can change a life."
A friend of mine, was telling me 'Need a coach. I need to start getting serious about working out'.
Her colleague snaps and says 'It has to come from within'.
Me: she is great at 11 things, it's OK if she seeks help here.
So, YES, you may be GREAT at 11 things but there may be that 1 thing that you need push with. That's OK. Do not feel guilty about it. It is important to realize that though and seek external help.
Now, certain things I am good at, come with within - like being an empath, being genuine, being financially responsible etc - but most times I need that extra hand holding when it comes to going to yoga class. There may be someone, who is a fitness crazy CEO who needs some hand holding in something else. My point is, it is OK to seek external help when you need to.
For example, we all know that it is great to exercise, how many of us actually get up and do it? Now, walks a great coach in your life, he makes it happen. The external stimuli no matter what form it is, works. Works like magic. The coach just knows what to do and how to extract the best in you.
So, never underestimate the power of a coach / external stimuli.
Yes, be vulnerable enough to seek with zero ego. That is the key.
