Everyone finds a fit eventually

This is a story oft repeated.

You apply for a job. In a few days you receive a response telling you that you are not suitable. You continue to apply, and continue to be told that you are not suitable.

You begin to wonder. What am I doing wrong? How was I not suitable? Is something wrong with me?

That my friend, is the only thing you do wrong.

Don’t doubt yourself.

I have been a recruiter long enough to know that several factors need to work together for a candidate to be called for an interview and be hired. Qualifications and Experience are only a part of it.

The major part, the absolute biggest bit, is the culture-fit. You either fit or you don’t. There’s no way to jig it.

What I also know is that everyone finds a fit eventually.

So go ahead, apply.
Don’t worry about the reply.
So what if you didn’t fit, give it another try.
A fit will come by sure enough,
You just focus on soaring high.
