The current leg of my journey started when I had injured myself at work. It was a minor injury. A colleague offered to do Reiki on it to help. I asked, "What's that?" and she proceeded to explain. I was open to it as she wasn't some crazy person I met on the street. She was a fellow engineer at work I've worked with closely and known for many years.

She proceeded to do Reiki...and...I felt nothing. But I was intrigued. Here's a sane person doing some strange energy thing. I believed in the power of the mind and the well documented placebo affect. That's what I thought it might be. So I found a Reiki class and took it. It's actually called an attunement. In any case, it was free. That's the most I wanted to pay for something I didn't believe in. But I was curious about it.

In the session we did some experiments with moving energy (otherwise known as Chi, Ki, Prana, Mana) and I thought I felt it. But I wasn't totally convinced. It still could have been in my mind making it up that I felt it. But it cracked open the door. What if I did feel it and it wasn't made up in my mind?

This led me to then take other classes including Quantum Touch, Pranic Healing, and Matrix Energetics. Of all of these modalities I came back to Pranic Healing as it made the most sense and explained this phenomena the most.

Now several years later I run a free clinic once a week and my goal is to do healing full time. The world of Prana/Chi/Ki/Mana is truly a fascinating world!
