Psychopath Prank Caller and the FBI

The story of how for a short while in 2009, you could request a bomb threat for 5 dollars.

 In early 2009 I was browsing 4chan.org's random section, /b/, and I stumbled across a thread showcasing prank calls from a prank calling community called "4chanpranks," on Ventrilo. They were having a shoutcast broadcast up and immediately as the shoutcast opens I hear "Hello this is Tyrone and I'm doing bomb threats for 5 dollars so I can get my girlfriend a puppy." This was the most reckless thing I've heard in my life and needed to see what happened next. I

The first bomb threat was to a college in Florida. People in the ventrilo community had found an unsecured cam to the place and we all watched intently. 60 people in this college gym just working out and talking not having a care in the world. Tyrone is sickened by this (complete psychopath) and calls. He says faintly  "Hi uhhh I have planted a bomb in the college and its going to detonate." The person on the other line heard him clearly but just asked for him to repeat it. Tyrone abruptly screams "MY NAME IS TYRONE AND I HAVE A BOMB IN THIS BUILDING AND ITS GOING TO GO OFF IN 5 MINUTES!" 

The look of horror on this poor man's face is something that stays with me until this day. He stays on the line and exclaims for everyone to get out immediately. What we thought was 60 people turned out to be 400 people throughout the entire building. Everyone running to their lockers, shoving, pushing, knocking people over was the most wild thing I've ever seen. Tyrone hangs up and explodes in laughter and everyone in ventrilo is just laughing their asses off. The original requester sent Tyrone the 5 dollars (this was all foe 5 dollars) and Tyrone tells everyone that he is halfway to that puppy.

I listen in for another two hours just watching and occasionally laughing (not everything was a bomb threat), and Tyrone opened his cam to stream on Stickam. He is laughing and patting himself on the back for his "epic," night of prank calls. Everyone praising him for being the world's most audacious boy of the day. This lasted 20 minutes while Tyrone showcasing his abuse of power by banning anyone for warning him or calling him an idiot but they were the very low minority. What happens next is the swiftest karmic reaction anyone will ever see in their life.

The doors behind Tyrone bust open while 10 SWAT members and FBI agents swarm through. They ask for Ashton Lundeby (Tyrone) and Tyrone freezes with fear. Every single viewer, listener, prank caller, and host lose their shit. They all immediately laugh at him, the boy who brought everyone all this joy and excitement turn on him in an instant. The other people streaming on stickam are screaming at the FBI to take him away and just roar with laughter. The FBI turns off the stream and a collective "WE WANT TO SEE," raves on stickam. I've never seen such betrayal, no one felt anything for him, no guilt, no remorse, or sympathy, he was just a puppet for laugh.  

Ashton Lundeby was 16 at the time. He was in juvy for 2 years for over 100 bomb threats to many schools, college, and federal buildings (including the FBI) . The community went on for another year without their puppet "Tyrone," like he never existed and never learning from his mistakes. More members of "4chanpranks," were arrested over the following year for more bomb threats, property damage, and death threats. They reopened a few times under different names but eventually calmed down but the damage was still done and I want to say sorry on their behalf to anyone they hurt.

Tyrone, you're scum.
