Christian studies on faith: I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, Ephesians 1:18

The teachings of Jesus on the Kingdom of God can only be understood with the eyes of the heart, some people because of the hardening of the understanding cannot understand the word of God, this is why the conversion of the heart is so necessary:
"The disciples come to him and asked, ´Why do you speak to the people in parables?´
He replied, ´Because the knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven has been given to you, but not to them. Whoever has will be given more, and they will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them. This is why I speak to them in parables:
´Though seeing, they do not see; though hearing, they do not hear or understand.´
In them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah:
´You will be ever hearing but never understanding; you will be ever seeing but never perceiving. For this people’s heart has become calloused; they hardly hear with their ears, and they have closed their eyes. Otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts and turn, and I would heal them.´
But blessed are your eyes because they see, and your ears because they hear.", Matthew 13:10-16
The Kingdom of God is progressive mentality, to live the gifts is to grow towards conformity to God, that is, the gifts are the way; the Kingdom of God is also precision and exactitude, that is to say, truth. As Jesus says: "I am the way, the truth and the life", John 14: 6.
The apostle Paul takes up the teaching of the Gospel of Saint Matthew and teaches: "I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you", Ephesians 1:18.

To open the eyes of the heart is to fear God. The bible explains that the beginning of the Kingdom of God is the Fear of God (constancy, firmness, devotion, equanimity, stability), faith without this gift cannot take root, as it happens with the rich young man who rejects Jesus for the love of riches.
As Paul expresses in the acts of the apostles: "I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism but accepts from every nation the one who fears him and does what is right.", Acts 10:34-35.
