God's word for today: "Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation", Matthew 26:41

Like Jesus we are all tempted in the flesh, but Jesus tells us after the last supper: "Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.", Matthew 26:41. Sin according to the bible is a form of error and an omission of good: "If anyone, then, knows the good they ought to do and doesn't do it, it is sin for them", James 4:17.
Sin divides the mind and makes us feel uncomfortable, reason looks to the good. But to reach the consummation of sin, a process must be followed.

First we are presented with temptation, that is, the object of sin to the senses, then there is a second step, reason falls into temptation, and finally sin is consummated.
Jesus is clear, we are all tempted but we must pray and draw strength not to fall into temptation, that is, accept sin with the heart. The epistle of James describes the relationship between sinning and falling into temptation "When tempted, no one should say, "God is tempting me". For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; but each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire and enticed. Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death.", James 1:13-15.
Jesus is tempted numerous times in the gospel, Jesus is tempted by Satan in the desert (Matthew 4:1-11), Jesus does not fall into temptation and responds to Satan: "Away from me, Satan! For it is written: Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only". Also in Gethsemane, Jesus is tempted to avoid crucifixion.
Entering the Kingdom of God means becoming spiritual warriors to avoid the path of error and accept the correct path, the path to eternal life: "This is eternal life that they know you the only true God", John 17:3.
