The unconditional love of Jesus: We constantly pray for you, that our God may make you worthy of his calling.

There is nothing more beautiful and excellent than the love of the Lord, a love that is projected to his creatures like the rays of the sun, a love that nourishes us and gives us life. Our Lord Jesus with wisdom taught us that God's love is unconditional in the gospel of Matthew, because God is love without passions: "You have heard that it was said, ´Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.´ But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you" Matthew 5:43-44.
As in the parable of the prodigal son (Luke 15:11-32), God is that Father who rejoices when one of his children returns from the wrong path, the path of sin, and repents, that is why Jesus constantly knocks on our door and calls us with joy to the true life, which is the eternal life. The kingdom of God, the empire of the divine excellencies, is expansive, edifying, and progressive.
And this is what Paul reminded us of in his second epistle to the Thessalonian Church, a Christian community founded during his second missionary journey. The apostle Paul, as a true and mature christian, despite the serious difficulties and persecution to which he was subjected by his devotion to Jesus, never forgot his brothers in the faith, he exhorted them, built them up, and always asked God for them, Paul taught the way of that edifying and benevolent love:
"We constantly pray for you, that our God may make you worthy of his calling, and that by his power he may bring to fruition your every desire for goodness and your every deed prompted by faith. We pray this so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in him" 2 Thessalonians 1:11-12.
Jesus loves us with a good love, but it is up to us to respond to that call, we choose between righteousness and sin.
