The prayer of Mary: He has filled the hungry with good things but has sent the rich away empty. Luke 1:53

In the Bible there is an association that is frequently repeated, after an extraordinary event, there is a song or prayer that accompanies it. For example, the Song of Moses in Exodus 15, after crossing the Red Sea.
In the New Testament, there is the Magnificat or song of Mary, where Mary worshiped God after the announcement of the conception of Jesus by the angel Gabriel. This song that is so important for the christian faith is inspired by the Song of Anna (1 Samuel 2:1-10), which celebrates the birth of the prophet Samuel in the Old Testament.
As in the Canticle of Anna, Mary, the mother of Jesus remembered the eternal and perfect wisdom of God, who does not forget the humble and casts down the proud and arrogant; God did not forget his people Israel and gave them a savior, Jesus. In this song Mary is called blessed, because God blesses those who fear Him with a pure heart. With this song Mary proved to be the first devotee of the Lord Jesus; for all Christians, Mary was the best example of what the Fear of God means.
With these words the song begins, announcing the Lord's blessing to Mary:
"My soul glorifies the Lord
and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior,
for he has been mindful
of the humble state of his servant.
From now on all generations will call me blessed,
for the Mighty One has done great things for me—
holy is his name.
His mercy extends to those who fear him,
from generation to generation" Luke 1:46-50.
Then the song ends with a praise to the divine providence, and to the promise made by God to Israel to send them a savior:
"He has performed mighty deeds with his arm;
he has scattered those who are proud in their inmost thoughts.
He has brought down rulers from their thrones
but has lifted up the humble.
He has filled the hungry with good things
but has sent the rich away empty.
He has helped his servant Israel,
remembering to be merciful
to Abraham and his descendants forever,
just as he promised our ancestors" Luke 1:51-55.
Mary's song was the beginning of the realization of the Kingdom of God among men.
