The power of prayer

Prayer transcends getting answers from God. It is expected of couples in a relationship to communicate. They share ideas concerning matters in life to elevate them from one glory to another. A marriage which is deficient in communication can never fully spring the joy it should.

Prayer is communicating with one’s Maker. Christianity is a calling unto a relationship between God and man through the Lord Jesus. In 2 Corinthians 13:14, Paul prayed, “The grace of our Lord Jesus, the love of God and the fellowship of our Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen” – indicating the potency of prayer.

After the ascension of Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit who proceeds from the Father (John 15:26) was given unto believers and baptized them into the body of Christ. Relationship or communion with the Spirit is very paramount in the life of the believer as the exercise ushers him to growth.

Jesus Christ, teaching his disciples the power of prayer in Luke 18 used a parable where a woman had to persevere before a judge before her case was settled. The import of the message was not about the answer to the prayer alone but building up of character in prayer.
