Be in Ablution. Ask God by praising His Glory, that He may grant you a blessed prayer to say, which would get accepted. Be calm and listen to that prayer in your hearts. Then do prayer.
Rather, their only utterance (then) was to say: Our Lord! Forgive us our sins and our excesses in our affairs. And set firm our feet. And grant us victory over the disbelieving people. (3:147)
