The Life of a Preacher

in preachers •  7 years ago

The life of a preacher is one that is not really easy, so many people see them from a distance and admire them, they wish they could be like them and they could get all the attention gotten by the preacher.

But, the things they go through internally that cannot be exposed or said in the public are worse than the praise and attention they receive in public.

The Life of a Preacher

I am going to be sharing some things that happen to some preacher's that other people do not have an idea about, I have had it in mind to talk about it right from the time I was a child but I guess this is a beautiful platform to share my thought and the right time is now.

A preacher is a religious leader who has been assigned to share or preach the gospel.
He or she has the sole responsibility of taking care of the people he has been assigned to guide.

On most occasions, preachers are often church leaders and so they have a lot of people who watch their actions, their speech and the way they carry themselves. Some of these people emulate them, some of them love them, some others hate them and some others are usually bent on destroying them.

Sometimes a preacher will be called to come answer to an urgent call for something he has no idea about, just because of the member of the church is involved in such issue, he has to get himself involved in it and look for solutions to the problems.

A preacher is someone who has to put on a smiling face at all times, as a person who is not a preacher, I can decide to either wear a frown or a smile, I can have mood swings anytime I desire but the preacher must smile even when he has so many issues eating him up and the reason for that is because people are always observing and watching every of their moves and reactions.

Some watch it in order to emulate while some others watch their actions to destroy them.
This implies that a preacher needs to be careful of whatever step he takes or whatever decisions he makes.

Types of Preachers

Every person who believes in the God factor will agree with me that there are preachers and there are some other types of preachers, but that is not what I want to talk about in this post.

While some preachers have the opportunity to lead a large congregation filled with the people we call "big people", who constantly takes care them, some other preachers are not very lucky as they lead a congregation of very few individuals and sometimes it is filled with people who do not have enough money to even feed themselves not to talk of feeding others, so if the preacher wants them to attend a service or meeting, he needs to arrange for their transportation and possibly feeding as well.

This is just a tip of the iceberg, check back to learn more about preachers..........
